Our team of professionals are a time tested, experienced and hands on group of people who like to be in the thick of the action; because we genuinely enjoy what we do, and that is, offering our true and real Nepalese hospitality. Of course, we are in the travel trade and hospitality business, but our guiding principle has been to put our guest's comfort first; we want to see our guests leaving with a smile on their faces ( because our guests are our ambassadors too !! )
Hotel Himalayan Oasis is not just ideally located in the famed and touristed Thamel area, we offer class 'A' facilities and amenities of hotels and lodges that presumably fall in our category. We offer Star like facilities for backpacker budgets. The recent upgrade of our rooms, bathrooms , bar and restaurant, décor should give other hotels a run for their money.
The corridors and rooms are soothingly lit with state of the art light fixtures which highlight the internationally acclaimed photographer, Chandra Man Dangol's photographs that capture the essence of Kathmandu and the rest of rural and rugged Nepal. The hotel premises itself is an art gallery of sorts; guests have the privilege of purchasing these award winning photographs at special prices.
The rooftop restaurant and bar is secluded and tranquil space reserved only for our guests where they can unwind with a cup of coffee or even cocktail or chilled beer, read a book, chat with family and friends using our free Wi-Fi services or just catch up on the days events and activities.
We are a 20 minute drive from the airport and a stone's throw from historical and cultural sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Narayanhiti Royal Palace and the famed Garden of Dreams. All major embassies and consulates are a short drive away.
